Sukan Sarawak (Suksar), the once prestigious state-level sports event that had unearthed many athletes, returned in December 2017 after a 27-year hiatus.

SukSar 2017 is participated by athletes and special athletes from through Sarawak. The venue of SukSar 2017 is in Kuching division, the events for the able bodied athletes includes swimming, diving, weightlifting, cycling, athletics, silat, rugby, sepak takraw, karate, muay, boling padang, judo, bola baling, petanque and badminton.
